Fix your Landing Page and Increase your Leads by 3 Times Over!
Is your landing page not generating enough leads – increase your lead generation and conversions significantly testing your landing page against these principles.
Landing page optimization is not easy. Few marketers prioritize landing page optimization and yet, it plays such an integral role in judging whether a marketing campaign is a success or not. Assume your visitor’s hand is on the ‘x’ at the top right corner of the browser. They’re ready to leave and it’s your job to keep them on your landing page. Every element of the page should be developed with this in mind.
A landing page headline that communicates clearly.
Don’t mess around with an unfocused, silly headline that doesn’t say what you mean. Those who’ve clicked need to see what they want fast or they’ll bounce. Although you don’t need to rush or be literal, your headline should instantly communicate the value proposition. Potential customers need to know there’s a reason to care. Consider what you’re offering and what the value proposition is – maybe it’s to save your customers time, provide them more convenience, fix something, education them on something, make them laugh, or something else.
Your landing page copywriting needs to be on-point
A landing page is not the place you want to be rambling on and on. Be clear and write simple, easy lines your visitors will remember. You’ve got less than 30 seconds on a landing page to communicate a reason for the visitor to stay. Once you’ve lost them, they’ll be gone in seconds and there’s no getting them back. Give some thought to writing a short narrative story that’s concise enough to work in a few lines before hitting them with a CTA. Your copywriting here should keep the customer in mind, involving them in every decision as you write out your story.
Define a logical pathway towards an action
A visitor should know what’s expected of them on a landing page. Its structure should be built around navigating them towards making an action. You don’t want them to get lost in the copywriting or the images. Don’t send them on a scavenger hunt. Give them a reason to care and then give them a call-to-action. Your landing page’s graphic design should be natural, obvious, and simple. Your CTA should be clear in where it is. That may mean making it colorful, making it bold, or making the font size or image size big.
Effective, attention grabbing landing pages work wonders at taking the leads you’ve generated and converting them into something measurable. As you build out your digital marketing campaign, you may see landing pages having increased importance. They play a role in SEO, social media marketing, eCommerce, and mobile marketing.
