Setting Up team on Tidio for free step by step guide
Hey everyone, welcome back to our Tidio tutorial series! Today, we're diving into Part 3 where we'll walk you through setting up your team. If you've been following along, you know we've already covered setting up your profile and channels in our previous videos. But if you're just joining us, don't sweat it, we'll get you up to speed in no time.
Alright, so first things first, head on over to your Tidio dashboard. That's where all the action happens, folks. And if you haven't already checked out our earlier videos, go ahead and do that once we're done here. Trust me, you won't want to miss them.
Now, let's dive into the nitty-gritty. Click on that gear icon in the bottom left corner of your dashboard. Yep, that's the one. Now, navigate to the 'General' tab because today, we're focusing on the team setup.
Here's where things get interesting. We've got two main sections to explore: Operators and Departments. Let's start with Operators. These are the folks who will be interacting with your customers, so it's important to set them up just right.
Click on Operators, and you'll see the option to add more operators. These is a way to add your own life virtual assistants, ready to tackle any customer query that comes their way. Click that 'Add Operator' button, and a user-friendly interface pops up.
Now, fill in the details: name, email, and choose their permission level. Are they an admin, a moderator, or a chat agent? Each permission level comes with its own set of controls, so choose wisely. Once you're done, hit that 'Add' button, and voila, you've got yourself a new operator. Easy peasy, right?
But wait, we're not done yet. You can further tweak the permissions for each operator on the Operators dashboard. It's all about giving you the control you need to run your business smoothly.
Now, onto Departments. These are like your customer service squads, ready to tackle different types of queries. Sales, support, technical – you name it, you can create a department for it.
Click on 'Add Department,' and another user interface pops up. Enter the department name, assign operators as needed, and hit that 'Save' button. Boom, you've just organized your team like a pro.
And hey, if you ever need to make changes, it's as easy as pie. Just delete or edit departments and operators as you see fit. Oh, and don't worry about those unique IDs – they'll come in handy if you're working with APIs.
So there you have it, folks – setting up your team on Tidio is a breeze. And the best part? You're in control every step of the way.
